Ken Fellman, of the law firm Kissinger & Fellman, P.C., has received a 2007 Public Health Champion of the Year award. The Jefferson County Department of Health and Environment grants the award to individuals who worked to create a healthier Jefferson County. Fellman, whose law practice focuses on representation of local government, was recognized for his efforts to enhance health and vitality throughout the metro Denver region. His work includes his role as a member of the Metro Denver Health and Wellness Commission, plus initiation and support of a myriad of other health and wellness programs while he was mayor of Arvada.

The award marks Fellman’s ongoing emphasis on the promotion of health and wellness. In 2005, Fellman received the Award for Legislative Excellence from the Colorado Public Health Association. “I am honored to receive this award and to have the opportunity to work with so many other people who are equally passionate about improving health and wellness in Jefferson County and throughout the region,” Fellman said.
