AREAS OF PRACTICE:

Paul D. Godec serves as Special Counsel for Kissinger & Fellman, P.C. Paul obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1983 from Rice University and his Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law in 1986. After many years in private practice, Paul joined Kissinger & Fellman in October of 2010.

Paul focuses his practice in local government law and taxation, general business and corporate law, employment law, employment contracting, public employment, and insurance defense. Paul’s practice involves considerable complex civil litigation including local government, contract, health care, employment, covenants not to compete, construction, and civil rights. Paul’s extensive experience has allowed him to resolve numerous cases successfully through trials or alternative dispute resolution, and to find winning and efficient solutions to his clients’ legal needs. Paul’s recent successes in litigation include Kilcrease v. Domenico Trans. Co., 828 F.3d 1214 (10th Cir. 2016) (appeal of summary judgment on failure to hire claim under the Americans with Disabilities Act); American Multi-Cinema, Inc. v. City of Aurora, No. 2018CA2165 (pending), appealing No. 2014cv30822 (District Court, Arapahoe County, Div. 408) (representing municipal defendant through trial and on appeal for tax refund request claiming that digital motion pictures do not constitute tangible personal property subject to municipal use tax).

Paul is a member of the American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, and the Denver Bar Association.
