Transportation Law

Kissinger & Fellman attorneys concentrating in transportation law provide a complete range of legal services to our transportation clients. These clients include motor carriers, shippers, brokers, freight forwarders, third party logistics organizations, and shippers associations. Our work in the field of transportation law involves representation of clients before governmental regulatory entities such as the U.S. and Colorado Departments of Transportation, the Colorado Public Utilities Commission and the Colorado State Patrol. This representation involves appearances in both state and federal courts.

Prior to founding the Firm in 1976, Rick Kissinger served for seven years as Vice-President and General Counsel of a nationwide transportation company. As in-house counsel, and now in private practice, he has advised transportation clients in the areas of governmental regulatory matters, shipper-carrier agreements, carrier acquisitions and financing, bills of lading, freight claims, complex tariff and rate issues, and hazardous materials matters. Mr. Kissinger is a past President of the Transportation Lawyers Association, an international bar association of attorneys specializing in all phases of transportation law. He is a recipient of TLA’s Distinguished Service Award, and was recently presented TLA’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
